We are always looking for new volunteers who can spare a morning, afternoon
or even a few days a week to help us raise funds for Gwent’s only in-patient
Hospice. However much time you have, we’ll have something to suit you.
Why not volunteer in one of our shops or spend some time fundraising?
Are you a rummager with a flair for finding hidden treasures and a keen eye for a bargain? Do you enjoy friendly conversation and meeting new people? Then come and join us at one of our charity shops. Our charity shops raise vital money to fund our services and help people both locally and internationally. As a charity shop volunteer , you could find yourself :-
- helping and serving customers
- Sorting and pricing clothes and other items
- Designing shop windows and other display
There’s much more to fundraising than just rattling a bucket. In fact, there’s no limit to the imaginative ways in which you can help us raise money. Fundraising is fun, rewarding and a great opportunity to meet lots of new people. Could you help us?
Our services depend on donations. As a fundraising volunteer you could help raise money for our services by:-
- Organising or helping to run an event
- Promoting our work by giving talks, writing letters or applying for funding
Company Volunteer and Team Building
Volunteering is a great way of giving back to your community as well as increasing your company’s profile. Whether you have specialist skills or not, you can help vulnerable people in your community.
The type of help you give really depends on the time you are able to commit. If your company gives you one or two working days off a year, you could use your specialist skills to help us with a project.
